Village Vanguard launches new ‘Room Service’ app for London’s East Villagers

Village Vanguard, an eclectic, modern restaurant, café and bar based in London’s East Village, has launched click & collect and delivery services using Preoday’s mobile ordering technology. Through the new app, Villagers in East London district E20 will be able to order from the restaurant’s extensive menu of takeaway and delivery favourites, as voted for by locals.

In a departure from more conventional restaurants, Village Vanguard presents customers with a unique, constantly evolving venue, including diverse menus, activities and events. The new app, which offers home delivery (Room Service) or click & collect options, caters for a busy customer base, many of whom don’t have the time or energy to visit the restaurant for a sit-down meal.

When developing the new mobile ordering service, it was important to retain the independent, personal character that Village Vanguard’s customers know and love. Preoday’s technology allows it to be in full control, managing the whole order and delivery process, instead of subcontracting to other companies.

The app is available online now at the App Store and Google Play. Following initial roll-out, Village Vanguard hopes to extend the reach of its new service beyond E20.
