Bankers will be introducing a click and collect service at all three of its outlets around Brighton and Hove: Bankers Hove, Bankers Brighton and Bankers Hangleton. The service will be available on the Bankers website, as well as through a mobile app, available from Google Play or the App Store.
Bankers is about to hit its centenary, having been set up by the Lipscombes as a family fish and chip chain in Sussex in 1923. They truly believe that fish and chips can be the tastiest meal you will ever eat, when prepared the Bankers way, but they don’t think this should be at the expense of the environment, people and communities.
James Lipscombe, MD of TCG, comments, “With the Preoday pre-ordering service already operational across two of our brands, we’ve pleased to roll it out to a third. We look forward to the app bringing the same kind of convenience to customers of Bankers as it has to those of Fishnchickn and Churchills.”
Nick Hucker, CEO of Preoday, says, “It has been a pleasure to see how readily customers have used TCG’s apps. A pre-ordering service fits perfectly with the operations of fish and chip shops and customers love it. We also see our clients embracing the data that the platform provides and using it to increase customer loyalty and grow the business.”
In addition, TCG is rolling out the Preoday platform at three more of its sites: Churchill’s Collier Row, Fishnchickn Royston and Fishnchickn Harold Hill.
It’s not as catchy as: ‘When is a door not a door?’ (answer, when it’s a jar) but it speaks to the idea that in-car collection, and the technologies that support it, are flexible enough to bend to the needs of a business and its guests.
Delivery can be daunting to the uninitiated, and it might be tempting to sign up with a third-party ordering aggregator that offers the service, such as UberEats, but other options could suit your business and brand better. Here we present three different ‘levels’ of delivery, starting with the most basic – and cheapest method: doing it yourself.
