Jujamcyn Theaters, in association with Sweet Hospitality Group, have demonstrated once again why they are the most innovative theatre group in the USA today by introducing Broadway’s first online ordering food & drink service. Patrons to any of the five Jujamcyn Theaters will soon be able to pre-order and pay for their intermission food and drinks before they step in the venue, meaning they can spend less time worrying whether they’ll have enough time to get their intermission drinks, and more time enjoying the internationally acclaimed Jujamcyn performances such as Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots.
The service will be first made available at the Al Hirschfeld Theater on the 8th August for Kinky Boots. Patrons will be able to find the online orders by going to XXXX or they will receive a direct link when they log on to the theatre wifi. They simply then need to choose what date they are seeing the event, select their food and drink and then pay- all in a matter of seconds.
Following the initial launch at the Al Hirschfeld Theate, Jujamcyn will be rolling out their other four venues and are already looking into introducing additional services such as seat delivery and as well as an expanded menu.
Micah Hollingworth, Vice President of Jujamcyn Theater Group says “We were very impressed with the pre-ordering possibilities Preoday has been giving theatres across Europe and were excited to introduce this to Broadway. It was the flexibility in their platform and opportunities to obtain in-depth customer reports which made them the obvious fit for Jujamcyn Theaters. We are already looking forward to seeing how we can expand the platform further across our other venues as well as other services such as seat delivery.”
Oliver White, Head of Customer Success, at Preoday says ‘We are very excited to be introducing our Preoday platform to Broadway theaters, and Jujamcyn’s, clear leaders in innovation and now having a market-leading customer experience, make them the ideal fit. We are excited to bring our experience of ecommerce in London theatres to the States and look forward to rolling out to all of the Jujamcyn Theaters’.
It’s not as catchy as: ‘When is a door not a door?’ (answer, when it’s a jar) but it speaks to the idea that in-car collection, and the technologies that support it, are flexible enough to bend to the needs of a business and its guests.
Delivery can be daunting to the uninitiated, and it might be tempting to sign up with a third-party ordering aggregator that offers the service, such as UberEats, but other options could suit your business and brand better. Here we present three different ‘levels’ of delivery, starting with the most basic – and cheapest method: doing it yourself.
