Preoday Version 2 – Updating the Preoday dashboard

After all the helpful feedback from our customers, we are introducing what we like to call Version 2 of the Preoday Dashboard. We started on Tuesday 22nd November and are rolling out a series of updates to the platform, some of which will be replacement features and some new.

This post will be where we cover everything that is new with Version 2 in more detail. We will outline the different aspects of the updates we are introducing and where on the Preoday platform you can access them.

We will begin by introducing the new features first, and then highlight any changes to the design of the platform. Check back every week for updates until the final release scheduled for Wednesday 21st December. Please note there will be no update on Tuesday 13th December.

New Features:

Visit app.preoday.com>Styling and you’ll now be able to:

  • Tailor your web orders page by:
    • Adding a header image, logo or colour
    • Adding a background image or colour
    • Changing the button and text colour
  • Personalise your confirmation emails by:
    • Adding a header image
    • Adding a customised footer text

Redesign:

We have changed the look and feel of some of the existing features. Check them out by following the steps outlined below.

  • Ability to add multiple menus
  • A universal item database that will enable you to create an item once and use across multiple menus
  • Universal modifiers that will enable you to modify an item across several menus
  • Modifiers can now be applied at a section level

New features:

Visit app.preoday.com>Advanced Settings>Manage Users and you’ll see that we have:

  • Introduced the role of manager, with more access privileges than staff, but less than admin
  • Clearly defined access privileges when a role is being assigned

For events venues we have introduced the concept of schedules for single events with multiple occurences.

  • Visit app.preoday.com>Events>Events to see that you can now assign independent attributes to each schedule

Redesign:

Live from 21st December

New features:

Head to app.preoday.com>promotions to see how you can now create your own promotional discounts.

This includes:

  • Applying a percentage or fixed cost
  • Automatic or promotion code redemption
  • Multiple, single or first purchase only redemption
  • Applying discounts to an individual service or payment method
  • Setting a validity period
  • Displaying the promotion in-menu

We are introducing new location features allowing for greater accuracy and flexibility in defining and restricting service areas. The map and pin interface will capture a venue’s exact latitude and longitude. You can check this out by visiting app.preoday.com>venue settings>location. 

We will also be introducing new delivery service features. Soon you will be able to:

  • Restrict delivery service to pre-defined zones (rather than post codes)
  • Define up to 5 individual zones
  • Define zone by fixed distance or custom shape
  • Each zone can have different attributes, such as:
    • Zone name
    • Delivery fee
    • Lead time
    • Minimum order value
    • Free delivery threshold
